She was predeceased by: her husband John "Johnny" Hawthorne; and her parents, Raymond Lollis and Lucy Pearson Hughes. She is survived by: her sons, John Mark Hawthorne (Jean) of Donalds and Michael P. Hawthorne (Alice) of Donalds; her brother David Hughes (Molly) of Donalds; and her grandchildren, Kelly Hawthorne Smith (Joseph) of Honea Path, Tonya Hawthorne Saylors (Justin) of Bowersville and Codi Hawthorne Owens (Michael) of Donalds. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home (208 S Main St, Abbeville, SC 29620).
