She was predeceased by: her son Bill Hawthorne, Sr.; and her parents, James P. Smith and Ida Helms Smith. She is survived by: her children, Grace Hawthorne, Steve Hawthorne (Kathy) of Abbeville, Susan Scott (Edward) of Elberton, GA and Roger Hawthorne (Stacy) of Abbeville. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
