He was predeceased by: his parents, George S. Busby and Sylvia Bradberry Busby; his siblings, Lee Busby and Sylvia Sampson; his grandson George Alexander Busby; and his son-in-law Billy Willis.
He is survived by: his wife Mary "Bonnie" Campbell Busby; his children, George Thomas Busby, Jr. (Shirley) of Easley, Steven C. Busby (Beth) of Greenwood, Ricky Busby (Sherry) of Abbeville and Laura B. Willis of Abbeville; his sister Melba Rabon (Billy) of Cheyenne, WY; his grandchildren, Carson Dula (Jason), Matthew Busby (Amber), Anna Willis, Nicole Loughner (Ben), Aaron Busby and Stephanie Busby; and his great grandchildren, Evie, Whit, Mason, Thomas, Pierce, Katy Lynn and Scout.
