It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frances Whitmire (Abbeville, South Carolina), born in Westminster, South Carolina, who passed away on June 27, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brother Homer; and her son Walter Thomas Whitmire. She is survived by: her sister Myrtle Clark Flack; her son William David Whitmire (Laurie); her grandchildren, Grace Anne Whitmire and William Payne Whitmire; her great grandchild Ella Harrison of Abbeville; her sister Sarah Lange of Greenville; and her siblings-in-law, Thomas Whitmire of Greenville and Sarah Williams (Jerry) of Anderson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations are made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta, 1442 Harper Street, Augusta, GA 30901 in remembrance of Frances and in honor of her great-granddaughter, Ella Harrison.
