He was predeceased by: his wife Sylvia Diane Clinkscales Young; his parents, James Young, Jr. and Rebecca Martin Young; and his brothers, James Young and Rodney Young.
He is survived by: his sons, Forrest Odell Young (Monique) and Ernest Dannell Clinkscales; and his siblings, Lula Young, Curtis Young and Dewitt Young (Lucy). He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
