She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Will" Kay and Bessie Miller. She is survived by: her husband Edward Brown; her children, Larry Lee Gray, John Robert Gray, Jr., Frankie Edward Gray (Marchelle), Eric Gray (Kimberly), Nancy Paul-Bruber (Michael David) and Carol Bernea Gray; her sisters, Willie Mae White (Joe Lewis), Mamie Moss (David), Janie Brownlee, Anges Johnson and Jessie Mae Branch; and her stepchildren, O'Neal Brown, Patrick Brown, Kim Collins and Michael Collins. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
