He was predeceased by: his father Samuel Eldred Campbell; his former wife Gertrude; and his brothers, Bennie and William Campbell. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Evans Campbell; his children, Edgar 'T.' Campbell, Jr. (Sue) of Calhoun Falls, Franky Campbell of Columbia, Debra Simpson (Johnny) of Abbeville, Brenda Bradberry of Abbeville, Judy Willis of Abbeville and Jane Erwin (Wayne) of Abbeville; and his grandchildren, Jessica Holly Campbell, Jeannette Campbell, LeAnn Nicole Campbell and Corey Blake Campbell (Amber). He is also survived by eight step-grandchildren and eleven step-great-grandchildren.
