She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie W. Mizzell and Thaddis Mizell Mizzell; her former husband Nat D Smith (Smitty); her husband Joseph Bass (Joe); her stepson William Bass (Joann); her siblings, Herbert Mizzell, Harold Mizzell, Alfred Mizzell, Desi Lee Chavis, Annie Mae Chavis and Viola Droze; and her son-in-law Danny D. Livingston.
She is survived by: her daughter Sandra Smith Brenner (Sandy); her close friend Jerry Holuby; her daughter Viola Grooms Bryant (Wes Bryant) of Iva, SC; her granddaughters, Daresa Brenner (Tudi) of Summerville, SC, Deanna Brenner (DeeDee) of Moncks Corner, SC and Amanda Brenner (Mandy) of Bonneau, SC; and her friend George Norton of Calhoun Falls. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations, in memory of Doris, be sent to her daughter for her final expenses.
