It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Annette Shockley Nicholson of Abbeville, South Carolina, who passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse Willie R.'Bill'Nicholson; her parents, James F. Shockley and Annie Bolin Shockley; and her brother James Donald Shockley. She is survived by: her daughters, Jean Byrd (Mike) of Greenwood and Karen Cobb (Bob) of Donalds; her grandchildren, Michael Byrd (Jennifer), Kevin Byrd Kelsey C. (Erica), DeLeon (Joe) and Louie Cobb (Anna); and her great grandchildren, Phillip and Andrew Byrd.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Abbeville - Harris Funeral Home (302 N Main St, Abbeville, SC 29620). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at the Long Cane Cemetery.
