He was predeceased by: his parents, J. O. Cann and Sara Hall Cann; his children, Bill Cann, Judith Cann, Clara Marie Cann and Rachel Marie Cann; and his siblings, David Cann and Alice Price.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Cann (Janet) of Spartanburg and Joey Cann (Nadia) of Abbeville; and his siblings, Allen Cann (Joyce) of Abbeville, Juanita Fisher of Murrayville, GA, Mary Clark of Florida and Lillian Hayes of North Carolina. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials, in memory of Alton, may be sent to Sharon United Methodist Church, 246 Sharon Church Rd., Abbeville, SC 29620.
