He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia A. Darling (Drolet); his parents, Fred S. Darling and Gladys A. Darling (Howes); his great grandchild Wyatt Carter Plasse; his siblings, David Darling and Shirley Tyler; and also Ruth Darling.
He is survived by: his children, Scott W. Darling (Susan) of Manville, RI, Daniel D. Darling (Robin) of Woonsocket, RI, Diana Hendricks (George) of Douglas, MA, Edward D. Fasano (Christine) of Spring Hill, FL, Patricia A. Mathieu of Douglas, MA and Ann M. Nixon of Brookline, MA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
