He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar R. Demers and Rosita Demers (Brunette); and his siblings, Robert Demers and Claire Lanctot. He is survived by: his wife Pauline Demers (Dery); his children, Diane Allen (William Allen) of Woonsocket, Ronald Demers (Margaret), Michael Demers (Denise) and Roger R. Demers of Cranston; his grandchildren, William Allen III, Keli Filleti, Evan Demers, Sean Demers, Thomas Demers and Tara Demers; and his siblings, Gerald Demers of California, Richard Demers of Georgia and Jeanne Link of New Hampshire. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
