With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John F. Powell of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, who passed away on October 20, 2024. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John F. Powell to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James T. Powell and Alice Powell (Farrar); and his nephew James Provensal. He is survived by: his close friend Diane Powell; his son Christopher Powell; his sister Barbara A. Provensal (Raymond) of Ft. Myers, FL; his nephew David Provensal (Patricia) of North Providence; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Nicole Hagan, Rebecca Provensal, Anthony Pinto, Sarah and Zachary Provensal.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (1200 Mendon Rd, Woonsocket, RI 02895). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
