It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera Jean Trefes (Westerly, Rhode Island), born in Danbury, Connecticut, who passed away on October 4, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Elias "Lou" Trefes of Atlantic Avenue; and her parents, Sgt. Jack Moore and Vera Moore. She is survived by: her children, Sally J. Sorensen and Harry A. Trefes (Allison); her siblings, Ruth Moore Kiley of Las Vegas, NV and Daniel Fantoni of Springfield, MA; her grandchildren, Ryan and Austin Trefes; and her stepgranddaughter Emma Trombino. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
