As Leonard Carter departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Leonard Carter may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Leonard Carter leaves behind.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Ambrose Edwards and Lea Edwards (DeMino); his wife Deborah (Bielen); his children, Paul (Meredith Greer) and Lara; his son-in-law Colin Krug; his sister Mary Lou; and his grandsons, Blake and Carter.
He was active in the Westerly community, by serving on the board of the Westerly Hospital Foundation, and supporting the Westerly Land Trust. Over the last 8 years of his life, Len fought the effects of Parkinson's.
