He was predeceased by: his father Ralph "Buddy" Ahern of Hopkinton. He is survived by: his spouse Lynn Ahern; his mother Marjorie P. Ahern; his sons, David Ahern (Katie A.) of Rhode Island and Charles P. Ahern (Claire M.) of California; and his siblings, Lester (Paula), Donald (Elaine), Steven (Katrina), Scott (Terry), Glenn (Maria), Debbie Lewis (Randy Morse) and Sandra Schilke (Bob).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in his name to his favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
