He was predeceased by: his parents, George S. Grossomanides and Mercina Grossomanides (Kyriazis); and his siblings, Stephen and Anastasia. He is survived by: his wife Vasiliki Grossomanides (Celia); his son Dr. John Grossomanides; his daughter-in-law Anna-Helene; and his nieces and nephews, George, Costas, Steve, Clifford, Marcia, Elaine, Kathy Sophia and Maria.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home (121 Main St, Westerly, RI 02891). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church (247 Washington St, Norwich, CT 06360). A burial was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at the Riverbend Cemetery (117 Beach St, Westerly, RI 02891).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church Endowment Fund in Norwich, CT, honoring John's memory and his commitment to his faith.
