He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans C. Oppelt and Clara Oppelt (Straub); and his sister Gertrude Reis. He is survived by: his wife Daisy; and his brothers-in-law, Joseph Reis and David Strom (Caroline). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
