He was predeceased by: his wife Judith Syliva (Gley); his parents, Manuel F. Sylvia and Lucy Sylvia; his sons, Manuel and Stephen Sylvia; and his grandson Joshua.
He is survived by: his children, Edward F. Sylvia (Ana), Deborah Collins (Mike), David Sylvia (Debbie), Theresa Gentile (Gus) and John Sylvia (Tammie); and his siblings, Franklin Sylvia and Patricia Sylvia. He is also survived by grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home (59 Spruce St, Westerly, RI 02891).
