He was predeceased by: his parents, T. Marrack Collings and Elsie Collings (Signor); and his sister Kathleen. He is survived by: his wife Minnie; his brother Henry Collings (Joyce) of Westerly; his daughters, Carol Collings Haney of Macon and Cheryl Harris of South Kingstown; his sons-in-law, Matt Haney and Mike Harris; and his grandchildren, Michael, Madison and Luke.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beacon Hospice, 1130 Ten Rod Rd., North Kingstown, or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
