With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Angelina Ponichtera in Westerly, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 11, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Angelina may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Major Stanley V. Ponichtera, Jr.; her parents, James Ventry and Bombina Ventry (Vita) of Bradford; and her brother James J. Ventry. She is survived by: her sons, Stanley J. Ponichtera of Hope Valley, RI and Dr. Robert M. Ponichtera (Renata) of Alexandria, VA; and her grandson Anthony Ponichtera of Alexandria, VA..
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the S. R. Avery Funeral Home (3a Bank St, Hope Valley, RI 02832). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (1105 Main St, Hope Valley, RI 02832).
