He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Bessette and Ida Bessette-Charette (Goyette); his daughter Mary Louise Bessette; and his sibling Claire Gauvin. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne I. Bessette (Noel); his daughters, Theresa Smith of Woonsocket and Jeanne Fowler (Stephen) of Woonsocket; his sister Doris Smith of West Warwick; his grandchildren, James Smith, Timothy Smith, Andrew Fowler and Mikayla Fowler; and his great grandchild Zion Fowler.
