He was predeceased by: his parents, Christine Riley Holden and Robert Holden; his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Holden (Whalley); and his brother Arthur Holden. He is survived by: his children, Robert (Jeanne) of Springfield, VA, Stephen (Donna) of Coventry, RI, John (Denis) of Queens, NY and Christina Holden-Shea (Charles) of Charlestown, RI. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
