It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard S. Hughes Jr. of West Warwick, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on March 12, 2022, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Elsie C. Hughes (Hartman); his parents, Richard S. Hughes Sr. and Diana E. Hughes (Lincourt); his brother Ambrose J. Hughes; and his friend Ruth McGinley.
He is survived by: his children, Diana D. Hart of Sebastopol, California and David R. Hughes of Foster; his grandchildren, Mariana Scharf (Brian) and Julian Thorn; and his great grandchildren, Coco and Simona Scharf.
