He was predeceased by: his parents, John Shaughnessy and Ellen Shaughnessy (Murray). He is survived by: his wife Betty Ann Shaughnessy (Pickens); his children, Paul M. Shaughnessy, Jr. of Coventry, RI and Amanda E. Shaughnessy of Coventry, RI; and his sisters, Kathleen Shaughnessy of Jericho, VT, Mary Ellen Shaughnessy of Warwick, RI and Ann Marie Shaughnessy of Cranston, RI. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
