He was predeceased by: his father Herbert E. Phelps, Jr.; and his brother Herbert E. "Herbie" Phelps, III. He is survived by: his mother Louise B. Amaral (Thayer) of West Warwick; his son Patrick H. Phelps of Coventry; his grandson Alexander Hopkins Phelps; and his friend Harry Nicolopoulous.
His funeral services will be private due to the current COVID-19 health crisis.
