He was predeceased by: his parents, John Benton and Eulah Benton (Flanagan); and his sisters, Mildred Christianson of South Dakota and Bernice Pomeroy of Washington. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Benton (Bourque); his daughters, Sheryl Chabot (Joe) of North Kingstown, Kathleen Champagne (Bob Warren) of Wakefield, Michelle Craft (Dennis) of Middletown and Norma Loehr; his son-in-law Greg Loehr; and his grandchildren, Meggen Chabot of North Kingstown, Jonathan Chabot of Connecticut, Christopher Champagne of West Warwick, Adam Champagne of Georgia, David Loehr of North Kingstown, Sarah Loehr of North Kingstown, Christina Viera of Chepachet and Allison Viera of Middletown. He is also survived by 2 step-grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 4 step great-grandchildren.
