She was predeceased by: her spouse Hiram B. Matteson; and her parent Clarence Carpenter. She is survived by: her parent Eleanor Carpenter (Austin); her children, Steven J. Matteson (Cathy) of West Warwick, James R. Matteson of Westerly and Tracy L Austin (David) of West Warwick; and her sibling Eleanor Moone of Warwick. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and forty-one great grandchildren.
