Marilyn A. Pitman Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2024, at the age of 83, Marilyn A. Pitman (West Warwick, Rhode Island), born in Providence, Rhode Island passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John D. Pitman Jr.; her parents, Joseph Scriven and Esther L. Scriven (Sullivan); and her siblings, Lois Flores and Edward Scriven.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Iversen (John), John D. Pitman III, Laura Whiting, Karen Blais and Kevin Pitman (Yan Choung); and her grandchildren, Alexandra Whiting, Ryan Whiting (Ava Garfinkel) and Katelyn Blais. She is also survived by three nieces and two nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 15th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home (659 E Greenwich Ave, West Warwick, RI 02893). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, October 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Saints John and James Parish (20 Washington St, West Warwick, RI 02893).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marilyn's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
