It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Merces Vieira (West Warwick, Rhode Island), who passed away on October 23, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel D. Vieira; her parents, Antonio Mota and Maria Gloria Mota (Terceira); her child Edmundo Vieira; and her sibling Norberto.
She is survived by: her children, Adelia Brum of West Warwick, Lucy Santos of Warwick, Jaime Vieira of West Warwick, Olga Calheta of West Warwick and Cindy Panagopoulos of West Warwick; her siblings, Jose Mota of West Warwick, Ester Sousa of West Warwick and Evelyn Medeiros of West Warwick; her child Cidalia Vieira; and her brother Manuel Mota. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 10:00 am in St. Anthony Church, Sunset Avenue, West Warwick (all COVID-19 guidelines will be observed). Due to the pandemic the visiting hours and interment will be private for the family.
