She was predeceased by: her parent Maria (Manuel Linhares). She is survived by: her husband Joseph Carreira; her daughters, Dolores Carreira and Ann Suggs; her son-in-law Justin Suggs; her grandchildren, Marcus Suggs, Maya Suggs, Dante Lopes, Darius Lopes and Nina Lopes; her siblings, Edwarda (Carlos Deus), Manuela Thomas and Manuel Linhares; and her sister-in-law Linda Carreira. She is also survived by her many godchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the MS Foundation in Maria's memory, honoring her strength and resilience.
