He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Vieira and Alexandrina D. Vieira (Estrela); his child Edmundo Vieira; and his sister Maria Bernardo. He is survived by: his wife Maria Merces Vieira (Mota); his children, Adelia Brum of West Warwick, Lucy Santos of Warwick, Jaime Vieira of West Warwick, Olga Calheta of West Warwick and Cindy Panagopoulos of West Warwick; his sister Maria Gloria Estrela of West Warwick; his child Cidalia Vieira; and his siblings, Adelino Estrela, Fatima Vieira and Jose Vieira. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
