She was predeceased by: her former husband Donald G. Harter; her parents, James E. Essex and Mary Ednah Essex (Clarke); her daughter Linda Anz; and her brother David Essex.
She is survived by: her husband Harter Industries; her son Don Harter (Wendy) of Ann Arbor, MI; her son-in-law Bert Anz of Alabama; and her sister Alice Sanderson. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
