Joyce Rizzo Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Rizzo of West Warwick, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 31, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Joyce shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Joyce farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ritz (Rizzo) and Ida Ritz (Vescuso). She is survived by: her daughter Melissa DeAugustinis (Jay); and her sisters, Lois Tanner and Angela Rossi. She is also survived by three grandchildren, plus several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Maceroni Funeral Home (1381 Smith St, North Providence, RI 02911). A prayer was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce's memory may be made to the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
