He was predeceased by: his wife Maria T. Gouveia (Ledo); his parents, Manuel D. Gouveia and Maria D. Gouveia (Amaral); and his brother Antonio Gouveia. He is survived by: his children, Joe Gouveia of Exeter, Sylvia Cacchiotti of Warwick, Lucy Costa of West Warwick, Carlos Gouveia of West Warwick, Anna Gouveia of West Warwick and Theresa Gouveia of West Warwick; and his sister Maria Pacheco. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
