He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy E. Shugrue (Campbell) and Martin R. Shugrue Sr.; and his siblings, Martin R. Jr., MaryAnne and Thomas F. Shugrue.
He is survived by: his children, JoAnn M. (Henry R. Guzeika) of West Greenwich and Michael J. of Cranston; the mother of his children Ann J. (Notargiacomo); his grandchildren, Alex, Justin, Alyssa, Henry JT Guzeika and Ellie Mae Guzeika; his sisters, Dorothy M. Shugrue (Joan Pesce), Roberta (Joseph Notargiacomo) and Jane Marie Shugrue of Smithfield; and his godchildren, Catherine Shugrue, Santos, Kelli Haugen (Notargiacomo), Lauren Shugrue and Susan Kosikowski (Birk). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
