John A. Barber Obituary

We bid farewell to John A. Barber (West Warwick, Rhode Island), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 4, 2025 at the age of 74. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Paul E. Barber, Sr. and Josephine (Gregoire); and also, Deborah Grandchamp, Heidi Austin and Jill Legault.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Jennifer Makin (David), Kristen Hinson and John J. Barber; his grandchildren, Cassidy Kosh, William Hinson and Alexander Hinson; and his siblings, Gregory Barber, Paul Barber, Jr., Claudia Greene and Kim Barber.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home (659 E Greenwich Ave, West Warwick, RI 02893). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Christ the King Church (120 Legris Ave, West Warwick, RI 02893).
