She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph A. Bedard, Sr.; her parents, James J. Bates and Ellen M. Bates (Collins); and her sister Mary Novak. She is survived by: her children, Ellen M. Schierschmidt (Robert) of West Warwick, Carol A. Menard (Dave) of Kernersville, NC, Joseph A. Bedard, Jr. (Sue) of DeBary, FL, James T. Bedard (Lisa) of Coventry and Peter J. Bedard (Whitney) of Newington, CT; and her siblings, Teresa Legault, Christine Hamilton, Blanche McCarthy, Helen Rollins, James J., Jr., Fred and John Bates. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
