He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Amaral and Maria Amaral (Estrella); and his brother Manuel Amaral Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Rose Anne Amaral (Medeiros); his daughter Doreen M. Maynard-Pianka (Neil) of West Warwick; his grandchildren, Joseph L. Maynard IV, Danielle R. M. Maynard and Deana E. R. Maynard; and his brother Joseph Amaral Sr.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
