We bid farewell to Candida B. Pires of West Warwick, Rhode Island, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 14, 2025 at the age of 89. Candida touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parent Benvinda Monteiro; and her siblings, Marguerite Monteiro, Charles Monteiro and Armando Pires. She is survived by: her children, Christine Louvat, Annie Cluley, Gisele Barbosa, Joseph Gomes, Jules Gomes, Rosemarie Mendes and Nathalie Gomes; and her siblings, Aurora Edouard, Victorine Monteiro, Elisabeth Monteiro, Mary Louise Saillant and Bernard Monteiro. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the A. A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home (200 Hawkins St, Providence, RI 02904). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of St Mary on Broadway (538 Broadway, Providence, RI 02909).
