He was predeceased by: his father Robert L. Harris Sr. of South Kingstown, RI; and his brother Christian. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Harris (Sgambato); his daughters, Abigail Harris (Joseph Rainville) and Alissa Prew (Santiago); his mother Beverly Cottam (Boulton) of Boynton Beach, FL; his stepmother Donna Harris of South Kingstown, RI.; and his siblings, Robert L. Harris Jr. and Rebecca Fiske (Harris). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the "Chris Harris Tribute Fund at the National LGBT Cancer Network" or the Scituate Preservation Society.
