It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William C. Powers in Warwick, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on September 30, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Claire and Irene Powers (Thompson); his wife Shirley; and his daughter-in-law Marilyn Powers. He is survived by: his son William Claire Powers; his grandchildren, Lisa and Billy Powers; his daughter Rebecca Petrie; his grandsons, Jacob Petrie (Kimber Moler) and Ian Petrie; his daughter Sarah Powers; his grandchildren, Rachel and Chris Gauthier; his great grandchildren, Bishop, Matthew and Lindsey Cardillo; and his daughter Martha Powers (Nancy Striuli). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
His greatest desire was to be with this family that cocooned him and kept him healthy and alive during the Covid shutdown.
In memory of him donations may be made to Shakespeare and Company of Lenox, MA and the Hulitar Hospice Center of Providence.
