He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas McCarthy and Louise McCarthy (O'Loughlin); and his brother Kevin McCarthy. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Garies; his siblings, Robert McCarthy and Nancy A. Beliveau; his siblings-in-law, Jennie and Joseph Blake; and his pet Molly. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Warwick Animal Shelter, 101 Arthur Devine Blvd, Warwick, RI 02886 will be appreciated.
