He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Charren and Gertrude Charren (Katz); his wife Peggy Walzer; his daughter Claudia (Sandi); his brother Burton Charren; his daughters, Deborah Charren (Timothy Diehl) of Northampton and Sandi Moquin (Kyle Moquin) of Feeding Hills; his sister-in-law Barbara Korstvedt of California; his grandchildren, Hannah (David Pakman), Zachary Charren-Diehl, Corey (Amanda), Veronica Moquin (Keven Brown), Matthew Diehl (Amy Quinn) and Andrew Diehl (Michelle); and his caregivers, Phoebe, Jackie, Arthur and Martha. He was also cherished by eight great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, four nieces and a nephew.

Although this gift, and much more, was taken from him by Alzheimer's during the last 16 years of his life, he kept his charm and was enjoyed by the many people who cared for him.
