She was predeceased by: her husband Ernie Asplin. She is survived by: her children, Teresa Cowell (Thomas) of Vermont and John Asplin (Christine) of Chicago; her siblings, Marion Dickson (Jim) and Kenneth Simpson (Isabell) of Scotland; her grandsons, Keith Lada, Craig Lada, Paul Asplin and Daniel Asplin; and her great grandchildren, Avery, Charlotte, Lucy and Alice.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
