He was predeceased by: his parents, Alec Bancroft and Hilda Bancroft (Fitton). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Bancroft (Foster); his children, Robert A. Bancroft (Rachel) and Rebecca K. Hamilton (Jason); his grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan Schultz, Jacob, Julia Bancroft, Sean and Max Hamilton; and his sister Linda Halle (Allen).

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hope Health Hospice and Palliative Care.
