With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Regina R. (Giroux) Leitao of Warwick, Rhode Island, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Regina R. left this world on April 16, 2025 at the age of 98, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John F. Leitao Jr.; her parents, Napolean Giroux and Lodina Giroux (Martin); her grandmothers, Jean, Regina, Reggie and Jeanie; and her siblings, Eva Lambert, Melina Giroux, Ethel Thornley, Matilda Colvin, Laura Hope, Irene Kilduff, Napolean Giroux and Wilmer "Pete" Giroux.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Leitao and John F. Leitao III (Tammy); her grandchildren, Jessica Wyrostek (Brian), Stephanie McCluskie (Sean), Marissa Leitao, Brianna Leitao and Ryan O'Rourke; and her great grandchildren, Isabella, Cacia, Maddox and Max.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 8:45 AM to 9:15 AM at the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home (1328 Warwick Ave, Warwick, RI 02888). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Church (350 Fair St, Warwick, RI 02888). A committal service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Mount Saint Mary Cemetery (661 Prospect St, Pawtucket, RI 02860).
