With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John J. Hughes Jr. of Warwick, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 25, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Hughes and Mildred Hughes (Edwards); and his sister Barbara Hughes. He is survived by: his wife AnnMarie Hughes (Banigan); his sons, Timothy J. Hughes of Warwick, Brian P. Hughes (Linda) of Charlestown and Scott M. Hughes of Warwick; and his grandchildren, Emma Hughes and Eris Hughes.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home (982 Warwick Ave, Warwick, RI 02888). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Clement Church (111 Long St, Warwick, RI 02886).
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the RI Veterans Home Community Living Center, 480 Metacom Ave., Bristol, RI 02809 will be appreciated.
