It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne M. Smith of Warwick, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on September 21, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Lial and Hermina Lial (Pacheco); and her brother Wayne J. Lial. She is survived by: her husband George R. Smith, Jr.; her son George R. Smith, III of Warwick; and her sister Shirley Coppolino of Maine. She is also survived by five grandchildren.

Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Timothy Church.
