James J. Prata Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Prata and Edith Prata (Petrarca). He is survived by: his wife Norma A. Prata (Buonaiuto); his children, James, Leah Smith (Richard) and Julianne Hopgood (Andrew); his sister Barbara Petrarca (Prata); his grandchildren, Gianna Ahnrud (Prata), Marissa Prata, Rebecca Prata, Jamie Davey (Hopgood), Ariana Smith, Teresa Prata, Andrew Hopgood, Sydney Smith and Samantha Hopgood; and his great grandchildren, Bria and Luca Ahnrud.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 8:45 AM at the Prata-Gallogly Funeral Home (78 Providence St, West Warwick, RI 02893). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (820 Providence St, West Warwick, RI 02893). A burial was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Ann Cemetery (73 Church St, Cranston, RI 02920).
