He was predeceased by: his parents, James Prata and Edith Prata (Petrarca). He is survived by: his wife Norma A. Prata (Buonaiuto); his children, James, Leah Smith (Richard) and Julianne Hopgood (Andrew); his sister Barbara Petrarca (Prata); his grandchildren, Gianna Ahnrud (Prata), Marissa Prata, Rebecca Prata, Jamie Davey (Hopgood), Ariana Smith, Teresa Prata, Andrew Hopgood, Sydney Smith and Samantha Hopgood; and his great grandchildren, Bria and Luca Ahnrud.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to Dana Farber Brigham Cancer Center- Foxborough, 22 Patriot Place, Foxborough, MA 02035 in his memory, would be appreciated.
